Course
information
At
the Country Club of Lansing, you will find a golf experience
that is unequaled in the Lansing area. Named the "Lansing
Golf Club," in 1908, the few acres of land in which
6 holes of golf and one club house stood, has become one
of the premier golf courses in of Michigan.
In
the early 1920s, William G. Langford and the Chicago Park
Builders designed and constructed a new 18-hole golf course
covering over 150 acres of gently rolling terrain. Today
the course includes fifty-four bunkers, a pond on holes
14 and 17 and a natural ravine between holes 8 and 9.
The design of the course accommodates a large number of
mature trees. Since the early 1980's the Growing Gift
Tree Fund, supported by the membership, has provided over
250 trees which have been planted around the course.
